In this afternoon seminar, participants will complete self paced exercises on 10 models. Participants can skip exercises and focus on developing skills of interest to them. This course is meant for junior and intermediate analyst wishing to improve their economic modelling skills. Please bring your modelling questions. The following describes the exercises offered.

- Breaking Circular References: 5 ways to break a CR and breaking 3 nested CR
- Levered, Un-levered & APV: PV a project using 3 methods
- Combo Boxes / Validation Lists: 2 ways to use drop down lists to pick inputs
- Data Tables: One and two assumptions data tables
- Scenarios: Show impact of assumption changes on multiple results
- Lookup and Offset functions: Pick data from forecasts by date
- XNPV & XIRR: Find PV of a project when cashflows don’t regularly occur
- Limiting Cell Inputs: Put constraints on what can be entered into a cell
- Conditional Formatting: Automatically indicate values of interest
- Removing Macros: Completely eliminate a marco
- Adding Units to a Cell: Add, for instance, $/MWh to a value
- Goal Seek: Change an input to solve for a desired result
